After his trial on June 13, 2012 that sentenced him to a suspended term
of 4 months for assistance to Chechen refugees, Finnish human rights
activist Mikael Storsjo wrote on his blog (kavkazcenter) for other Finnish human rights
defenders that they should not curse the Finnish shierk system. Were it
not for the courts of shierk, the police would simply jail and tear apart every
human rights defender in the country.
