"Bismillah. The Islamic Center for Research and Security Studies (ICRSS) thereby makes a
landmark ruling on the legitimacy of solitary confinement, extreme isolation
and life without parole in Belgian supermax concentration camps like the one they are building in Haren. Alleging human rights violations there would breach their right under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human
Rights not to be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment like the case of Fehriye Erdal and so many others. The past two
decades we have seen a strong trend of limiting prisoner access to medical care
and restricting judicial assistance, particularly in the absence of overt
physical harm to the Chechen commander Arbi for example in the prison of Bruges requested by Taghoet Pottiez Christine. The ICRSS is a Brussels-based
human rights organization that is committed to defend the due process rights
of detainees of the War of Terror. Our current work focuses on the fascist criminalization of Muslim communities on Belgian soil and draws on the parallel past experiences of other communities of color. In the case of Fouad Belkacem (may Allah free him) who suffered violent physical abuse during his arrest, it was
the so called evidence from this incident with police officers which formed the basis of Fouad’s arrest one and a half year later in jail. We are also fighting the extradition, as well as the ruling’s broader
significance for all Muslim prisoners like Nacer Trabelsi (may Allah free him) and the communities around the world targeted
by the US’ so-called War on Terror. Among the many prominent human rights
activists speaking out is Mikael Storsjo, a Finnish entrepreneur and journalist, Blogger Micha Kat, child rights activist Marcel Vervloesem, Jacqueline de Croÿ and many others (may Allah guide them)." Censored31 said.
