VIDEO: displaced woman explains the situation in Baba Amr (19/2/2012)

The situation there is terrifying... no food, no water, no gaz are available. Many civilians are under rubble due to the shelling which is still continuous since 15 days. Getting out from Baba Amr is almost impossible. Everybody is prevented from getting out from the area. The woman and her family have tried several times to escape, and couldn't do it in the first time because the regime's Army widespread in gardens and they have to pass from 20 checkpoints to reach the safe area! The security in checkpoints keep insulting the civilians and checking if they have ammunition or weapons. Children are not allowed to cross the checkpoint and they get arrested sometimes. Even the handicapped child was not allowed to access a safe area. This woman and her family have walked 5 km on foot to reach a safe area. She appeals to the Arab countries to save Baba Amr because the conditions there that are unbearable. Security forces have sieged Baba Amr and prevented the citizens from going in and out of the area if they want to bring necessary goods, even baby formula, for their and children's survival. The regime has done all that because the Free Syrian Army are present in Baba Amro also since many soldiers have been defected and go to Baba Amr.
